I still remember walking around Mongkok my first day in Hong Kong. I’d never been to Asia before and the street was jam packed with… Asian people! Everyone was Asian! I couldn’t believe it. Growing up in NYC you see and meet all kinds of people, it’s truly a melting pot. But never in my life had I ever seen only Asian people everywhere I looked. I must’ve had the stupidest look on my face as I walked around; it felt like my face was stuck and I couldn’t shake whatever look I had on. Awe. Humor. Dumbfounded. Amazed.
