Milford Sound, New Zealand

Milford Sound is easily one of the most beautiful places in New Zealand. Even the 4 hour drive to Milford from Queenstown is so beautiful that you’ll find yourself stopping constantly to take photos. The landscape is simply stunning. Here are some photos from the mini cruise we did in the sound.

Great post! The scenery looks amazing. Is it easy to get around in New Zealand with public transport? Thinking about hitchhaiking as well. Thanks!

  Oh and yes hitchhiking around NZ is very common. Locals and foreigners alike both do it.

Thanks! Public transport… not really. There is one company that does intercity buses for a reasonable rate, I don’t remember the name. Then there’s also the kiwi bus (backpacker bus). But the best way to get around is to get your own car.
