It’s difficult to take a bad photo in the beautiful (and UNESCO listed) uKhahlamba Drakensberg National Park in South Africa. There’s really not much I have to say other than that I wish I spent more time there! It was one of my last stops in the country before catching a flight to Amsterdam. Anyhow, I hope you enjoy the photos and hopefully you’ll put Drakensberg National Park on your must-see list!

Horrible road, beautiful scenery.

On the road to Amphitheatre.

Sentinal Peak (3166m)

I love being outdoors.

Hiking up to the top.

Atop the Amphitheatre. It was very cloudy unfortunately.

Atop the Amphitheatre.

Stunning.

A huge lightning storm made for an impressive show.

Amphitheatre as seen from the ground.

Wild baboons roaming across an open field

Taking a dip in the cascades

The upper part of the cascades

I miss the mountains!
Have you ever been to a highland area as dramatic as Drakensberg National Park?
