Thru the Lens: Paris

Paris is easily one of the most popular tourist destinations in the world. Just one look across the River Seine at the perfectly manicured gardens fronting the Eiffel Tower is all you need to understand why. Well… that and the outrageously long queues at the base of the tower. You could blame it on the movie industry I suppose, but Paris has a near god-like status in the minds of Americans when they think of Europe in general. And if you walk around the main tourist sites you’ll be sure to hear LOTS of American voices.

But I digress. Paris does live up to most of its hype as a tourist “must-visit”. The main sights such as the Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame Cathedral, Louvre, and Sacre Coeur are really impressive. I could definitely see the awe in my dad’s face as we visited each place. He was really amazed by the architectural detail and style of the grand buildings. My mom… yea she’s a tough person to please.

Anyhow here are some pictures from the City of Lights. Hope you like them.
