Thru the Lens: Conor Pass, Ireland
Conor Pass might not seem like much to the casual motorist but its position on the Dingle Peninsula in western Ireland affords it one of the finest views in the country. It’s a winding scenic road that is ideal for stunning vistas in all directions. Rolling green hills give way to mountain peaks etched with waterfalls and lakes backed by the mighty North Atlantic Ocean. If you’re lucky enough to have clear skies then you’ll certainly be in for a treat.
The only way to get to Conor Pass is by going on a tour or by self drive. The weather is unpredictable so it’s worth waiting it out if the weather isn’t ideal for looking out at the landscape. While I was there it briefly rained, was shrouded in fog, then cleared up all in the span of about 20 minutes. It was definitely worth the wait. And after you see these photos, I’m quite certain you’ll agree.
